Our student films were at hit at this year's 8th annual ČERNÁ VĚŽ film festival - an amateur and student film festival held in nearby České Budějovice - with the Award for Best Student Film going to Michaela Polakova and her film The Summer of Mischief, and the Viewers Award going to Daniel Habrda for his film From Hell and Back. Congratulations!

It's always a pleasure to see old faces and friends, and make new ones for that matter. This November we had the opportunity to travel to America and spend some time with our friends at NOVA Community College in Virginia, USA, promoting our one month intensive summer film course for their students, as well as the opportunities for their students to complete their Bachelor Degree studies here with us in Pisek.

The positive feedback from students currently studying in our international program and their confidence in our school, its methods and teachers is always a pleasure to listen to... Check out Czech Television's series Pruvan, and their episode about studying film abroad with us at FAMO in the magical town of Pisek! For all those English speakers, please forward to 1:56. Click here to see it now!

Pisek's film school's fought it out and measured their strength against one another in the 1st annual FILMOVKAfest 2018 held in November. See the winners below.
